GT’s Synergy Kombucha is one of the most popular and recognizable brands of kombucha on the market.
One of the best and at the same time worst things about Synergy is how many different flavors there are. On the one hand the amount of flavors is great because it means that there are lots of tasty options, but on the other it makes it really hard to choose one to drink.
In this article, I’ll solve that problem by not only ranking, but also describing in detail the top 10 flavors of GT’s Synergy Kombucha to help you decide which one to buy.
If you're short on time, heres a quick list:

What is Synergy Kombucha?
Synergy Kombucha is a line of kombucha made by the brand GT’s Living Foods. GT’s is one of the most well known names in the kombucha industry and was actually the first kombucha brand to be put on store shelves in the US.
The brand was founded by a man known as GT Dave when he was only 15 years old and is known for its authentic small batch brewing process and commitment to keeping kombucha a health focused drink.
GT’s sells many different lines of kombucha, including Classic, Hard, Limited Edition, and of course, Synergy.
The Synergy line is kombucha that has been fermented for 30 days in small batches and is made of 95% raw kombucha and 5% organic fruit flavoring. All Synergy Kombucha is organic, vegan, and gluten free.
Because of its higher than normal amount of flavoring and smooth taste, Synergy Kombucha is perfect for anyone new to drinking kombucha or with a weak stomach. But even long time kombucha drinkers like myself love the taste and probiotic benefits of GT’s Synergy line.
GT’s also sells a Synergy Chia line, which is the same kombucha but with chia seeds in it. Some of the Synergy Chia flavors are Cherry Chia, Raspberry Chia, Green Chia, Grape Chia, and Black Chia.
Chia seeds are a superfood that add tons of health benefits to kombucha. If you want to learn more about chia seed kombucha and its benefits you can read the article I wrote on it here.

The Top 10 Best Synergy Kombucha Flavors
One of the things that sets GT’s Synergy Kombucha apart from other kombucha brands is how many great flavor choices there are.
Obviously some people are going to like certain flavors more than others, but this list should give you an idea of the general order of the best Synergy Kombucha flavors. Ordered according to a combination of my personal preference and popular opinion.
1. Trilogy
GT describes their Trilogy flavor as “Tart bursts of raspberry with bright squeezes of lemon and a bite of fresh pressed ginger.”
GT's Trilogy is one of the most popular kombuchas of all time and for good reason, it’s delicious. The taste is super refreshing and the flavor balances the sweetness of the fruit with the tartness of the kombucha really well. Plus the color is beautiful!
You can find GT’s Trilogy at your local grocery store, or you can buy a 12 pack from Amazon here and they’ll ship it to you with dry ice to keep it cold.
2. Guava Goddess
According to GT, their Guava Goddess flavor is an “An ethereal experience of exotic guava puree.” So basically it tastes like guavas.
I tried guava fruit for the first time when I was in Cuba last year and absolutely loved its unique flavor. If you’ve never tried it before, its taste is sometimes described as a mix of strawberry and pear.
Even if you haven’t eaten guava before, I strongly recommend you try GT’s Synergy Guava Goddess. The combination of the bitter and sweet guava with the bitterness of the kombucha is super tasty.
You can have a 12 pack of GT’s Guava Goddess shipped to you cold from Amazon here.
3. Mystic Mango
GT describes Mystic Mango as, “An island vibe with creamy mango puree.”
If you’re a new kombucha drinker or someone who doesn’t like a really strong and vinegary kombucha, Mystic Mango is for you, since the extreme sweetness of the mango really hides the harsh and acidic kombucha flavors, creating a refreshing and tropical kombucha that’s easy to drink.
You can find GT’s Mystic Mango Kombucha at most grocery stores, or on Amazon here.
4. Gingerberry
“Delicious waves of ripe blueberry finished with a fresh gingery bite.” GT’s Synergy Gingerberry combines the sweetness of blueberries with the spice of ginger.
A great thing about this flavor is that ginger not only tastes great, but is actually a superfood loaded with nutrients and bioactive compounds that have awesome benefits for your body and brain.
You can get a 12 pack of GT’s Synergy Gingerberry Kombucha on Amazon here.
5. Passionberry Bliss
GT describes passionberry bliss as a “Tart passion fruit puree blissfully blended with bright blackberry.”
Passion berries are a tart and sour Australian fruit that have a tropical, mango or orange like taste.
Passion berries are also super healthy for you as they're full of vitamins A and C, fiber, antioxidants, and other important nutrients.
6. Cosmic Cranberry
GT’s Cosmic Cranberry is “Pure, unsweetened cranberry with a tang.”
This kombucha flavor tastes a little sweeter than normal cranberries, but still has that deliciously tart cranberry taste.
Cranberries, like ginger, are also considered a superfood due to their high nutritional and antioxidant content. Research has found that they may lower risk of urinary tract infection, prevent certain types of cancer, improve immune function, and decrease blood pressure.
You can find a 12 pack of GT’s Synergy Cosmic Cranberry Kombucha on Amazon here.
7. Gingerade GT’s Synergy Gingerade is kombucha flavored solely with ginger, creating a deliciously strong and spicy taste.
If you’re someone who enjoys a more bitter, aggressive tasting kombucha and wants all the great health benefits of ginger, this flavor is for you.
8. Hibiscus Ginger
Another ginger flavor! GT describes their Synergy Hibiscus Ginger as “Floral notes of tart hibiscus finished with fresh pressed ginger.”
The combination of the hibiscus and ginger creates a really interesting taste that is both spicy and light and floral. If you’re someone who thinks that ginger alone is too strong but still want some kick to your kombucha, hibiscus ginger is a great option.
You can find GT’s Hibiscus Ginger Kombucha on Amazon here.
9. Strawberry Serenity
There’s not much I can say about this flavor of Synergy Kombucha other than...It tastes like strawberries.
However with so many fruity flavors of Synergy available, this definitely isn’t my first choice. The strawberry flavor isn’t super strong, which makes the drink taste more yeasty than fruity or refreshing. Not my favorite but if you're a big fan of strawberries it may be worth giving it a shot.
You can pick up a pack of Strawberry Serenity on Amazon here.
10. Watermelon Wonder
Watermelon wonder is definitely my least favorite flavor of Synergy that I’ve tried so far. GT describes this flavor as “summary splashes of watermelon with tart notes of cherry and lime.” But for some reason, it tasted much more like grass to me than watermelon. And I definitely didn't taste any cherry or lime
I still finished the whole bottle, but with so many other flavor choices I won't be drinking this one again.
Where Can I Buy Synergy Kombucha?
If you're searching for Synergy Kombucha I recommend first checking your local grocery stores and health focused shops. You can also find kombucha at a lot of gas stations and cafes but their small selection may not include Synergy.
If you can’t find the flavor you want or just don’t want to leave your house, Amazon can be a really easy way to get Synergy Kombucha shipped cold straight to your doorstep.
However, the best way to purchase GT’s Synergy Kombucha is only available to those who live in California. Residents of Cali can actually purchase Synergy straight from the GT’s website.
They offer six or twelve packs of whatever flavor you want. A 6 pack costs $20 ($3.30 per bottle) before shipping and a 12 pack costs $40 ($3.30 per bottle) before shipping.
If I lived in Cali, I would definitely take advantage of this option because of how easy it is to find the flavor you want and get it in bulk. Plus the prices are good and you don’t have to leave your house! Unfortunately, I live in Michigan where we don't get kombucha delivered to our doorsteps and it's cold all the time.
Final Thoughts
Hopefully this article could help you make a decision on which flavor of Synergy Kombucha to try and helped you find a place to buy it from.
Even if you disagree with my rankings, the descriptions of each flavor hopefully could give you enough information to find a couple that you'll really like.
